City of Harare takes clean-up campaign to Borrowdale

City of Harare held a clean-up campaign in Helensvale, Borrowdale which was spearheaded by Borrowdale District Office. Helensvale residents joined in the campaign assisting Council in clearing illegal dumpsites in the area. Borrowdale District Officer Ms Tendayi Mapfumo said the move is aimed at restoring a clean environment in the area. "We want our city to be clean and great again. The campaign is aimed at cleaning the area and educating residents of the importance of a litter free environment. We chose Helensvale particularly because it is the face of Borrowdale,” she said. Spar and Total Energies Helensvale also joined City of Harare in the clean-up campaign. District Officer Mapfumo urged residents to make use of dustbins and not litter everywhere.
